Instead of going home immediately after our last journey, we made a stop in Dubai (for 12 days). We stayed at The Retreat Palm Dubai where we had a fantastic view over the entire Dubai Palm, and a private beach. We had rented a car to be able to reach every corner of the city as independently as possible. Some highlights we have visited include The Green Planet, Dubai Safari Park, Dubai Garden Glow, The View at the Palm, Nakheel Mall on the Palm, and the Pointe. For the rest of the time, we enjoyed the hotel's beach very much. The sea was very shallow, and so we were able to watch thousands of fish, hermit crabs, and even starfish while walking only knee deep in the water.
